This property is a 9 room boutique hotel that is a dreamy, restored 1858 mansion. It is located near Raleigh’s South Glenwood district making it an ideal location for walking to restaurants and bars.

If you’re looking just to enjoy for the day Chef Liz Grandchamp and team hosts a “Supper Club” monthly. This is a great way to experience the property as you will feel like you were invited over for a dinner party.

If you’re looking for the perfect date night, then Madre is your spot. It is conveniently located in the Smokey Hollow district of Downtown Raleigh, which made it easy for us to hop around after.

📍Madre | 518 N West St Raleigh

We went there to celebrate our anniversary but would also be a recurring pick for a night out with friends. The ambiance is amazing and the food and drinks were equally matched. Here are a few I would recommend:

>> Roasted Cauliflower that is topped with chevre cheese and a Greek goddess sauce I nearly licked off the plate

>> Burrata with charred heirloom tomato and za’atar tapenade

>> Calabrian Chicken covered in hot honey and two pepper aioli that fell off the bone

Save for your next night out and share with the person you want to go with.

Raleigh now has their very own @postinowinecafe located in Village District @shopvillagedistrict so if you haven’t tried yet - let me put you on.

📍Postino Wine Cafe | 401 Daniels St, Raleigh

We went for lunch and you could quickly see why this place has become one of the wine cafes of choice in the Raleigh Durham area.

The ambiance is amazing and the food and drinks were equally matched. Here are a few I would recommend:

⚪️ Crispy Cauliflower that is topped with sultana raisin, caper, romesco

⚪️ Burrata that changes toppings seasonally

⚪️ Grilled Chicken Skewers with sicillian garlic yogurt

⚪️ Any of the Bruschetta Boards - too many to just pick one

Need more convincing? Did I mention they have Happy Happy [because it goes well beyond an hour] 🫢 Grab $6 glasses of wine or pitchers of beer till 5pm every single day, or stop by for a $25 bruschetta board + bottle of wine on Mondays + Tuesdays after 8pm.

I recently took my first trip along the New England coastline while traveling to Boston, Massachusetts. All I can say is - that it’s worth the hype.

🍩 Donuts from The Holy Donut: Famous for their unique potato donuts, try the dark chocolate sea salt or anything blueberry.

📸 Portland Head Light, Maine: While there, grab a lobster roll at Bite Into Maine for an unforgettable meal with a view.

🍸 Espresso Martini at Wally’s Wiener: The salted caramel twist on this classic, paired with a hotdog, is a must-try!

🦞 Lobster Roll at Highroller, Portland, Maine: A fresh, delicious lobster roll with customizable toppings.

🍋 Del’s Lemonade: A refreshing frozen lemonade that’s a Rhode Island staple—perfect for a hot day!

This is by far one of my favorite airports to fly out of ✈️

📍Raleigh-Durham International Airport

We’ve all experienced the bustling, high-energy vibe of major international hubs. Delayed flights, long walks or shuttles an don’t get me wrong I have a ♥️ for these airports for their own reasons but RDU offers the perfect contrast while still having what you need to create a seamless travel day.

My experiences are always consistent with the time it takes to go through TSA, I love that I can walk from one end to other without the need of a shuttle, and the bathrooms are always clean with no wait IYKYK.

Some of my must haves for traveling for a demure day:
⚫️ TSA-PreCheck (CLEAR is a Bonus that Raleigh-Durham now offers)

⚫️ Airline Lounges: you can expect @delta and @americanair

⚫️ Dining Options: great mix of national and local favorites

In addition to several direct flights across the USA, @flyrdu now offers direct flights to:
